Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Since it is a 4 day weekend for most of us Americans, I thought it would be a good idea to tell you how to relax, and take some time for yourself. It is important to maintain a stable mental health, just as much as your physical health. So, I will tell you some of my best tips to doing this.
First, exercising is a great way to destress. Personally, I like to do some yoga. You don’t need any fancy equipment, just find a youtube video of an exercise routine, and try to do it for at least 15 minutes a day. It will make you feel really good, and take off some of the stress.
Next, I love baking to relax on days off. You can also try cooking something new, if you prefer that. I think it is an excellent way to stay creative in a fun way, rather than feeling stressed. Plus there are so many recipes out there, you will be entertained for hours.
Coloring or scrapbooking are other great things to do for yourself this weekend. You might be thinking, coloring? Really? But coloring is super fun and you can purchase adult coloring books. If you just take 5-10 minutes to color, it can be very beneficial for getting your mind off things.
Finally, at the end of the day, I love taking baths and using bath bombs on days for myself. I just put on some music and breathe in deeply. It is probably the most relaxing thing I can think of, and it is just a nice feeling.
