New Year’s Resolutions

Hi guys, I’m back! Today I am going to share with you my 2016 New Year’s Resolutions. 2015 went by so fast, and it will be 2016 in about 48 hours! This year is going to be great only if you want it to be, and these resolutions will be how I make my year amazing. I make resolutions every year but I am hoping to really stick to these this year.

My first resolution is a very basic one, which is to workout or do yoga at least 10 minutes everyday. I am not doing this for weight loss but simply for myself and for my health. I want to stay in shape all year round since I do track and field in the spring time, so this is essential for me. With school getting in the way, I have been putting this off, but I am determined to do a little each day from now on.

To go along with the first one, I also want to stop snacking! I eat junk food during class, while watching Netflix, or on the bus. But I am going to stop this because it is very unhealthy for me, and I want to stick to eating my main meals only.

Reading is something I love to do and I have always loved. In the past few years, I have really stopped reading which I think is sad because I used to read 2 books a week, and now I barely read one every few months. My goal for 2016 is to read at least one book every month. I know I can probably do more, but I don’t want to set too high standards for myself, just in case.

Another resolution I have is to stop biting my nails. I have been doing this since I was a kid and I know it is so gross, but I have gotten better. Now I only bite them when I get stressed out but I really just want to end it completely to help my nails grow long and strong. Then I won’t be embarrassed to get them done.

This next one is kind of strange, but I really want to learn how to do eyeliner better. I am HORRIBLE at it which is so depressing because I love how it looks. I have already started practicing because this is a skill I want to accomplish soon.

My last resolution is to get off my phone more. I spend so much time on social media wishing I could be more active and do more things, but the first step to doing that is putting my phone down. I want to travel so much more this year, and try a bunch of new things. I think this is the number one way to have an amazing 2016, so hopefully I can be successful in doing this.
