Hello everyone, and happy (late) Easter! Last week, I completely re-did my room (new paint, new furniture) and I’m finally done and ready to share what it looks like with you. I actually just got some final touches for it today, which is why this post didn’t go up yesterday. So, let’s get into it!
Here is a quick overview of my room, and as you can see, I no longer have purple walls, and instead have a light beige. It makes my room look a lot bigger and I will have better lighting for my blog pictures because it is brighter. I also got rid of my old chandelier and replaced it with a mount instead.
For my bed, I got a new duvet set, pillows, and bed cover, which are all from Ikea (minus the pillow pet). I really like how the grey on the bed matches the NYC picture above it which is also from Ikea.
On my nightstand, I have a little Eiffel tower statue and 2 succulents that are so cute! Also, I keep my phone here, as well as Connor Franta’s “A Work In Progress” because it is the perfect coffee table book. In the little shelf I keep a magazine and notebook, and my camera but I was using it to take the pictures.
Next to my bed I have a simple full length mirror. I haven’t had one in my room since 6th grade because mine shattered, so it’s such a relief to have one. Now I can finally plan out my outfits without going to my sister’s room. Following that, I have my desk which is kind of a cluttered mess. It’s actually my least favorite part of my room (oops) because I have so much stuff to put on it.
Next, I have another window and my closet. Under the window, I plan on putting a “bench” or seating of some sort, because there is a lot of space, and I don’t like how the heater looks. Then I have I dresser with 4 drawers in it. On the top of it, I store all my everyday makeup and my most worn jewelry. In the first drawer, I have the rest of makeup and body lotions/sprays. In the other 3, I have my shirts, pants, and pajamas.
And there you have it, this is what my room looks like right now. I change my room around really often, so this isn’t permanent, but I think it will last for a while. Let me know what you think of it in the comments! See you next week 🙂
