Hi guys! A few things before I start the post:
- I have a new theme! I wasn’t going to change my blog theme originally, but I accidentally changed my old one and couldn’t remember what it was. I like this one better though, and think it looks nicer/cleaner.
- I am trying to post every other day! I want to stay as active on this blog as possible so I will be posting a lot more often. Please leave post suggestions in the comments, so I can do something you want to see!
- This is a collab with one of my friends Kelly, so make sure you check out her everyday makeup routine as well by pressing here!
Alright, let’s get started 🙂
In the summertime, I rarely wear makeup because I’m usually just sitting at home, or I’m going to a pool/waterpark. However, the days that I go out, this is what I do!
I start off by applying this NYX jar concealer under my eyes, as well as on any blemishes I have. I apply a decent amount since I don’t put on any BB cream or foundation and I blend it in with a beauty blender. Then I add a little bit of bronzer under my cheekbones to contour slightly.
I also put on some highlight, by mixing the first two shades from the Carli Bybel palette! (I have a review of this palette here). Then, I take the ELF translucent powder and set my face makeup with that. I think it’s even more important to set in the summer time so your makeup won’t look like it is melting off from the heat!
Then, with my Naked 3 palette, I use the shade “Nooner” and apply it all over my lid. For my crease and outer corner, I use “Factory” and blend it out. To top it off, I add some sparkle with “Buzz”, on top of my lid again. For my inner corner, I add the first highlighter from the Carli Bybel palette! I also add some brown eyeliner to my lash line sometimes.
I use the NYC Sky Rise mascara because it is probably one of the best drugstore mascaras I have ever tried. It doesn’t make my lashes look clumpy, and it makes them appear 5x’s longer! And, it’s only $3! For my brows, I apply ELF’s clear brow gel just to hold them in place. Sometimes I will fill them in with some powder, but usually just leave them natural.
I also prep my lips with the Vaseline Lip Therapy chapstick which works wonders. Next, I apply the Covergirl Katy Perry lipstick in the shade “Sphynx.” No, I do not believe these two products are cruelty free, but the Vaseline is the only chapstick I like, and the lipstick was a gift, so the damage was already done with the purchase. I no longer purchase non-cruelty free products, but can not help it if someone else buys them for me.
My summer makeup routine is pretty simple, but I hope you enjoyed this post! Once again, check out Kelly’s! Thanks for reading.
