ebook-a-thon TBR

This post is extremely late because I completely forgot this TBR is happening and it starts TOMORROW!! I have way too many e-books/e-ARCs that I really need to catch up on, so this read-a-thon is going to help me out so much.

I also just bought myself an Amazon Fire tablet so that I can read the e-books I have without hurting my eyes too much on my phone. The timing of this read-a-thon is just so perfect, especially since I have Monday and Tuesday off from school.

I am going to try to read a book for all of the challenges except for the group read book (The Picture of Dorian Gray) because I don’t own it and don’t have an interest in it right now!

Here’s my TBR:

Daily Deal Impulse Day

My Sister’s Grave by Robert Dugoni: I just bought this the other day because I received a $5 e-book credit and this was only about $1.50. I have been really into mysteries/thrillers recently, so this book caught my eye. I have no idea what it is about but I hope it’s a good book!

Try a New Author

The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter: I have been wanting to pick up a Karin Slaughter book for ages. A friend of mine on Twitter (if you’re reading this, Hey Kim!) talked about this book and I knew I had to finally check it out. She said it made her cry so I am hoping for the same reaction.

Oldest Book in Your Kindle

Sociable by Rebecca Harrington: I received an e-ARC of this from Netgalley so long ago and I started reading it but never finished. I am determined to finally start it again and finish it because God only knows how long I’ve had it at this point.

Free Choice

All the Things We Lost by Kayla Tirrell: I just got accepted for this book on Netgalley a little while back even though it came out over a year ago! It looks interesting and should hopefully be a quick read.

Best American Poetry 2018 by David Lehman and Dana Gioia: This is another book I got from Netgalley, and I think it’ll be perfect for a read-a-thon since it contains a lot of poetry and will be a quick read.

I don’t know if I will be able to get to all of these, but my goal is to at least read 2! Let me know if you have read any of these books, and which I should get to first.

October TBR

HAPPY SPOOKY SEASON EVERYONE! I am writing this from the comfort of my home which is so amazing. It feels incredible to shower and not wear shoes, and sleep in my own bed.

Don’t get me wrong, college has been great, but nothing beats being at home.

It’s already October, which is insane. How did September fly by so quickly?? I love October and I love Halloween and scary movies. It is just a great month.

Anyways, with a new month comes a new TBR! It’s a little ambitious, since I haven’t been getting a lot of reading done with all of my schoolwork in the way, but I really want to try and get some more reading done in October.

Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett

This is my current read, but I’m only about 15% into it. I am so so excited to have this e-ARC in my possession because Jenn Bennett has been my favorite author of 2018 so far! She is such an amazing author and all of her novels are so relatable. So far, I am really enjoying this one, and I can not wait to finish it!

Girls Write Now

This is another current read. It’s a collection of essays all about feminism and girls rising up! It is really right up my alley. I don’t have any expectations going into it, but I hope that I can really find at least 2-3 essays that I fall in love with!

Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman

This is the last book that I am currently reading! It’s another one that I have an e-ARC of but the book has already come out and I didn’t finish it yet! I am really determined to finish it soon though.

Gerald’s Game by Stephen King

I was supposed to buddy read this with my friend Julia ages ago and we just never got around to it! I am determined to finally get to it, because it is the perfect time to read Stephen King!

Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi

This has been on my TBR for the longest time. I purchased it at bookcon but still haven’t gotten around to reading it because I keep putting it off. I want to love this book so bad but many people have mixed feelings towards it so I am terrified! But it is a major priority for 2018.

From a Low and Quiet Sea by Donal Ryan

This is a book I brought to college with me and still haven’t read, so I want to get to it soon. Ariel Bissett (aka one of my favorite booktubers) talked about it and I won a giveaway for it from her! I have heard so many good things about his writing, so I’m extremely excited to get to this!

I am really, really going to try to get to all of these this month! I have so many books left that I need to read before the year ends, so these last few months are going to be crazy reading months for me!

What are your plans for October? Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments below.

August TBR

We are already 5 days into August. How did that happen? Well, I feel like I’m already behind on this TBR, but I decided I would post it anyways! The books below are all ones I’m hoping to read this month before I go to school in the fall! Plus, there are a few books I have already read/am reading as part of the booktube-a-thon, so you can check out my TBR for that here.

The Books:

Joyride by Anna Banks

This book has been on my TBR for a while because I bought it off of bookoutlet on a whim, and it has just been sitting on my shelves. It’s a fairly short book, so I really want to knock it off my TBR soon!

Afterparty by Ann Stampler

This one is another random bookoutlet find, but I am absolutely intrigued by it. The premise sounds really interesting, but what really drew me in was the cover. I think it is so stunning, especially in person. I have been wanting to read it for months now, but have yet to get around to it! Hopefully this is the month it gets read!

Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi

In case you didn’t know, I have been absolutely DYING to read this book ever since it came out. I bought it at Bookcon back in June, but I had so many other books that needed my attention first, so I haven’t gotten around to this one yet. I definitely plan on reading it this month. In fact, I have already started it but then the booktube-a-thon started so I put it down for the time being.

The House by Christina Lauren

I really want to get more into mystery/thriller novels, so I have been wanting to read this book for quite some time. I know I will love it, so I really, really hope I read it this month. However, my TBR is getting a little long this month, so I don’t know if I will have the time to get to it with the other books being a bit higher priority.

Little Do We Know by Tamara Ireland Stone

If you didn’t know, Every Last Word, also written by Stone is in my Top 3 of favorite books of all time. I just re-read it recently, and I fell in love with it all over again. Tamara came out with this book just a couple of months ago, and of course I bought it immediately! I can not wait to sink into this book and fall in love with another one of her reads.

Aside from these books, I also have some ARCs I need to read, but I don’t want to talk about them just yet!

Have you read any of these books? Let me know what you thought of them in the comments below :)
